To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the popular 996 model, New Balance is releasing two special edition colorways, “Grey” and “Black,” a nod to the silhouette’s first two colorways from 1988 and 1989. Both models feature a premium suede and mesh upper, silver 3M reflective material at the “N” branding and heel tab, and an off-white midsole and black outsole combo.
