The project spent close to two years in development before its July 2025 launch, and the connection is personal: ZOA is modelled on G-DRAGON’s own cat, Princess Zoa, while A&NE draws on the daisy he has used as a signature for years. Option 1: order direct — it works, but there’s a gap
To be clear up front: LINE FRIENDS SQUARE does ship to Malaysia. The official Shipping Info page lists 201 countries and territories, with Malaysia among the Asian destinations. This isn’t an article about a store that won’t sell to you.
Two practical problems remain. First, the Malaysia storefront is missing part of the range:

Second, international orders go by DHL express. The store states that all international orders ship via DHL from South Korea, with shipping calculated per order by destination and product weight — there’s no published rate card, so you only see the figure at checkout. Express rates run higher than standard forwarding, and the most popular ZO&FRIENDS items are exactly the wrong shape for it: plushies, pyjama sets and umbrellas are light but bulky.
There’s also a small price difference worth knowing. The Lucky Shop pyjama set — one of the two picks that is available locally — is RM325 on the Malaysia storefront against about RM313 at the Korean price, roughly 4% higher. Not dramatic on one item, but it compounds across a basket.

The face of the whole line, and the three-dimensional version of G-DRAGON’s cat. The Signature Edition is the everyday version, and the medium size sits well on a sofa, a bed or a desk — it’s the one that ends up in most photos. This page returns a 404 on the Malaysia storefront; only Korea has it.

The practical pick from the Signature Edition. The official line about the series is that it “adds a small, precious point to an ordinary day”, which suits a compact umbrella — with our afternoon downpours you’ll keep one in your bag anyway, so making it a character you like costs very little extra. Another one the Malaysia storefront doesn’t carry.

3. ZOA Signature figurine pen, blue (not on the MY storefront)
The lowest entry point here at ₩8,800 (about RM26). A three-dimensional ZOA sits on the cap, so it doubles as a small desk ornament. Cheap and light — shipping this on its own makes no sense, but tucked into a consolidated parcel it barely moves the weight, which makes it ideal for topping up an order or as a small gift. Also missing from the Malaysia storefront.

4. ZOA LUCKY SHOP mint pyjama set (available here, but 4% more)
From the official LUCKY SHOP project line, built around the idea of “a little luck close to you”. The mint pyjama set is its standout piece. Malaysia is one of the few storefronts in the region that carries it — at RM325, against about RM313 at the Korean price. That 4% is modest on its own; where it matters is if you’re ordering it alongside Korea-only items anyway, in which case buying everything at the Korean price makes more sense.
This one has size options, so state the size when you submit the request and check the measurements on the product page first.

Good for singing, streaming or gifting, and the second of the five that the Malaysia storefront carries. Said plainly: if this is all you want, ordering it locally is more direct. The reason to put it in a Buy for You order is to send it together with the Korea-only items above and share one shipment’s cost.

What is ZO&FRIENDS, and how does G-DRAGON fit in?
ZO&FRIENDS (조앤프렌즈) is a character IP co-created by IPX — LINE FRIENDS’ parent company — and G-DRAGON, announced in July 2025 after close to two years of development. He was involved at every stage, which is why the characters map so directly onto him:
- ZOA (조아) — the lead, a cloud cat that moves in slow motion, modelled on G-DRAGON’s own cat, Princess Zoa
- A&NE (앤) — drawn from the daisy, the motif he has used for years
- AKI and ZAKI — rounding out the world alongside ZOA and A&NE
The whole IP leans soft and fairy-tale, described officially as reflecting G-DRAGON’s emotional depth and creativity. That’s much of why the merch moves so fast — you’re not just buying a cute plush, but a character with a direct line to him.
The product range is broad: plushies, stationery, umbrellas, apparel, homeware and electronics, plus recurring project lines such as the LUCKY SHOP mentioned above. Those project items usually run in limited quantities for a limited window and rarely reach international storefronts — the main reason part of the range stays Korea-only.

Q3: I don’t read Korean — can I still order?
