This is a Shishida-style bamboo flute made by the second generation Ito Chiku-kan Gakki Seisakusho, which inherited the lineage of the Edo-era flute maker Ito Shishida. It was made in the late Showa period and is over 40 years old! The bamboo has dried well and has a deep, natural color, resulting in a beautiful instrument that resonates with the soul.
